Description

As Financial Accountant your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering reconciliations and month end processes
• Coordinating with internal and external auditors
• Year end reporting and accounts preparation
• Managing the fixed asset register
• Ensuring that accounting policies and processes capture the changes to accounting standards (IFRS 16)
• Mentoring the two apprentices working in the Financial Accounting team
• Deputising for the Financial Accounting Manager as and when required
• Consistently seeking to improve and streamline processes

Profile

• Fully qualified accountant with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience
• Experience of working in a commercial or not-for-profit/public sector environment
• Demonstrable experience of working effectively to meet deadlines
• Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and changes to accounting standards
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
