This innovative business are looking for a Financial Controller to join to oversee the day to day function of the finance team.

This role will be suitable to an ambitious Finance Controller who is keen to progress with a growing SME.

Description

  • Be part of the Senior Management Team driving the business forward.
  • To ensure the accurate and timely reporting of daily and weekly financial information, monthly forecasts, monthly management accounts and quarterly, reporting to group
  • Accurate and timely production of monthly and year end accounts and liaison with external auditors.
  • To lead the financial planning process in conjunction with the Heads of Department in order to ensure the timely preparation and presentation of annual budgets and other forward planning information
  • To produce management information as required in an appropriate format to meet the needs of the users.
  • To ensure that the finance department's systems and working practices are compliant with group requirements.
  • Support the control and development of the business the control and development of the business.
  • Developing and coaching the finance tea

Profile

The successful candidate for this Financial Controller role will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least 7 years PQE) and will have a strong knowledge .

  • You will have good experience at a financial controller / leadership level within a SME business
  • You should have strong computer skills including Excel & Sage accounts
  • Strong communication skills are required, and high attention to detail
  • Previous exposure to the a statutory audit process (either as auditor or client)

The role is based in North Cambridge
