Graduate / Trainee Accountant required for large manufacturer based in Plymouth. The successful candidate will join a well established team providing Administrative and technical support to the Finance & Pensions Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to further their career in Accountancy with a manufacturer who is a market leader in its field.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Corporation tax and VAT.
* Accounts receivable and credit management.
* Preparation and production of annual statutory accounts.
* Currency exchange.
* Liquidity planning.
* Management of company payrolls.
* Provision of accurate and timely statistics to Government departments.
* Treasury and cash management.
* Pensions administration and pensions annual accounts.
* Keeping up to date with current / changing financial and taxation legislation.
* Providing Administration support to the Finance & Pensions Manager / Financial & HR Director.
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Attributes required:
* Relevant degree or AAT qualified.
* Advanced MS Excel.
* Working knowledge of MS Word.
* Ability to work to cyclical deadlines.
* The tenacity, drive and potential to grow into a more senior role within the company in the future (succession planning).
* Good communicator.
* Methodical and process driven.
Desirable Experience, Skills and Abilities:
* Previous experience working within a finance team environment.
* Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
* Working knowledge of SAP.
