Finance Manager ($140,000 - $150,000 + Super)

The role:
A permanent opportunity has been made available for an experienced & motivated Finance Manager or financially proficient Office Manager to join one of Australia's leading agricultural businesses. The role will have responsibility for a range of finance functions, including the groups' payroll functions, treasury functions (money market and exchange rate conversions) , management of the insurance portfolio (both General Insurance & workers compensation), meeting legal & regulatory corporate governance requirements as well as being provided with opportunities for company secretary responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all payroll functions of the company and associated employee benefits & salary packaging requirements, as well as meet all legislative requirements and obligations
- Manage financial reporting for all treasury related functions and grower marketing pools to ensure all activity is compliant
- Preparation and presentation of statutory accounts & financial statements with a strong understanding of cash flow forecasting
- Management & oversight of hedging reporting and compliance to mitigate financial risk related to the commodity risk on the company's trading activities, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
- Manage the company's insurance portfolio including marine, workers compensation, health & associated accounting & legislative requirements
- Performance of the duties and responsibilities of a Company Secretary as required by the Corporations Act, the Company's Constitution & any other relevant legislation or regulations
- Contribute to system improvement and business enhancement procedures
Key Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA/CPA Qualified
- 6+ years' experience post qualification within financial operations, including treasury, payroll, budgeting, forecasting & general accounting reporting & services
- "Can Do" attitude with a strong desire to progress an organisation and contribute to positive change
- Proven management experience within a commercial environment
- Previous agricultural industry experience highly desirable
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening) with an ability to communicate complex and/or financial issues in an understandable manner
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to discern priorities, plan ahead & coordinate others to complete tasks
