Accounting Supervisor (Based in Penang)

Basic Job Functions:Lead a team of Accountants on Company's regular accounting and compliance work.
Participate/lead in projects to ensure continuous improvement.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:• Lead and coach a team of Accountants to ensure accuracy, compliance and team member development
• Review and manage month-end close process by ensuring proper cut-off, reconciling accounts and analyzing changes in the balance sheet and provide a recommendation
• Analyze and ensure accuracy of accounting statements
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting policies and proper execution of controls laid out in the Sarbanes-Oxley documents
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audit with internal & external auditors
• Assist as needed with 10-Q and 10-Q preparation processes
• Work with Inter/intra Departments and Global Finance team to ensure consistency among processes
• Lead/participate in improvement project
• Other projects as assigned

Experience:8 years of relevant work experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and manufacturing environment.

Education:• Minimum BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA and CA

• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Knowledge of local company laws and income tax regulations
• Proficient on MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and etc
• Strong working knowledge on major ERP systems, ie SAP
• Good supervisory skill
• Strong communication and presentation skills
