Our healthcare research firm in Hartford, CT is looking for a Financial Analyst

Job Description:
Responsible for coordinating, conducting, and documenting financial analysis projects. Serves as the financial contact with outside organizations. Conducts or participates in the most complex financial analysis projects. Provides advice and direction to less–related experienced financial analysts. Typically requires eight or more years of related experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Professional Services organization as finance functional business partner
  • Act as systems admin for key financial planning tools (Hyperion/HFM, Host Analytics and Access)
  • Manage the P&L consolidation and upload processes
  • Manage statistical accounts and supplementary data
  • Prepare internal reporting for executive management team
  • Support the creation of short and long range strategic plans and operating budgets
  • Conduct performance analytics and provide insight and expertise to business leaders
  • Review and evaluate operating results to ensure the attainment of overall divisional goals
  • Monitor and manage adherence to corporate financial policy
  • Work closely with North American Legal on financial related business unit contract issues
  • Develop business cases, analyze investments, conduct ROI analysis
  • Work collaboratively with North American Accounting Center and other business unit finance team members
  • Model and promote company core values
  • Occasional speaker or presenter to internal and external groups
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive corporate finance and/or financial planning & analysis experience; preferably in a global software organization
  • Working knowledge of the financial services or banking industry, as well as software development processes highly preferred
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen who can understand the "big picture', operationalize concepts/ideas, anticipate risks and issues, and prioritize and manage action plans to deliver successful outcomes in a fast–paced environment
  • Ability to keep sensitive data confidential and secure
  • Highly adept at successfully navigating and managing change; communicates change effectively and completely, models effective behaviors, builds commitment and overcomes resistance, and monitors transition and results.
