Join the ranks at a well–respected services company as a Controller through Robert Half Finance. In this leadership position, you will direct an accounting department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. This full–time position is for a Controller who will work in the High Point, North Carolina region.

Duties Inclued:

– Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

– Complete month–end and year–end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

– Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm–wide improvements, as needed

– Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

– Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations

– Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports

– Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm–wide operation

– Prepare cash–flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management

– Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

– Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
– Vow to meet business deadlines

– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

– CPA/MBA preferred

– Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

– Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

– Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

– 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

– Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

– Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide–ranging backgrounds

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills

– GAAP Accounting experience

– Peachtree Accounting Software experience

– Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
