The opportunity
The Technology Transformation team works with clients in creating value and delivering world-class IT capabilities to support business needs. Working closely with our industry groups and leveraging the EY brand as independent, trusted advisors, we provide our high profile clients with range of services including:

• IT Strategy and Sourcing Advisory
• Enterprise Architecture Services
  
• Digital Transformation (incl Cloud, Mobility, Social, etc)
  
• IT Operating Model & Governance
  

We are seeing massive growth and potential in Technology Transformation advisory across multiple sectors including Retail, Auto, Telecom, Life Sciences, Government, etc.

We are seeking highly experienced individual that has worked in Technology Transformation space with large recognised businesses in UK / abroad.

Your key responsibilities

• Build a profitable practice and establish the firm's image nationally in the realm of high end Technology Transformation Strategy Consulting.
  
• Contribute to continued growth and profitability for EY, by identifying and capitalising on business development opportunities in existing and potential clients for own and other areas of the firm.
• Build long-term relationships with key client decision makers which are based on mutual respect; act as a trusted advisor to key decision makers.
• Engage customers to gain trusted-advisor status with the CIO / CTO and other CXO-level executives of large enterprises in UK and offer innovative services around Enterprise Application Landscape Architecture and Optimization, Infrastructure Reengineering and overall optimization and enhanced realization of ROI on IT investments.
• Be a thought leader on Enterprise IT adoption/strategies and on adoption of state of the art technology trends and emerging design patterns.
• Anticipate clients' Technology needs well beyond current engagements, adding value to the clients' long term business.
• Drive IT projects with clients while managing the budget, timelines and quality of end deliverables.
• Provide clients with advice on effective cost management within the IT function, and rationalize application portfolios.
• Represent the firm in leading conferences/forums on Information Technology issues and trends.
• Sales:
• Involved in supporting on-going engagements and attempting to up-sell
• Lead & drive fresh pursuits
• Lead pursuit teams including conceptualizing propositions and presenting solutions to client
• Engagement Delivery
• Candidate would have to take on leading role for some engagements and provide thought leadership as well as subject expertise to the teams executing engagement
• Would also be involved in client management / client expectation management

Skills and attributes for success
Prior director level experience leading client engagements is required as a minimum to apply for this role. A Big 4 background or comparable consulting experience is highly advantageous together although we will consider candidates working in C-suite CIO/CISO positions who have prior consulting experience . The market facing element of the role is essential and therefore we are looking for individuals who have experience of business development across leading UK organisations.

To qualify for the role you must have:

• A proven track record of successful delivery of large engagements in area of Technology Transformation
  
• Good understanding of UK markets with strong emphasis on the key business and cultural differences between business environments
  
• People management experience in managing large teams with strong client relationship and account management skills
  
• Experience and comfort in dealing with CXO level executives across all functions of a customer's enterprise.
  
• Must have strong technical skills with proven ability to originate deals and anticipate the future strategic needs of clients.
  
• Ability to influence, persuade and be credible. Able to establish trust and build on-going client relationships.
  
• Should have significant expertise in conducting ROI analysis for IT investments and preferably have good exposure to multiple business domain
  

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Experience in building, leading and coaching teams in order to achieve business objectives.
  
• Ability to provide strategic leadership; with good decision-making, planning and organizational skills.
  
• Experience of working with other Directors/ Partners to direct customer business strategies to align with company's business strategies
