I am currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a world renowned construction business based in the City of London.

Client Details

They have worked on some of the most iconic building globally including the Shard and the Walkie Talkie. Due to the continued growth in the UK market they are looking to employ an Accounts Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis.

Accounts Assistant, City of London

Roles and Duties

  • Checking emails for invoices, supplier statements, queries;
  • Checking invoices against orders, ensuring correct cost and project coding;
  • Uploading and scanning invoices on "barcode up";
  • Entering invoices in DDM from GFP0 to GFP1 approximately 500 a month;
  • Sending invoices for approvals to QS/PM/Procurement;
  • Posting invoices on the AP ledger after been approved;
  • Entering payments on SAP;
  • Issuing payment remittance advise to suppliers;
  • Reconciling suppliers statements;
  • Sending and following up queries with suppliers and procurement;
  • Bank reconciliation;
  • Supporting accruals preparation;
  • Checking expenses claim form to receipts and against travel policy;
  • Posting expenses claim on SAP, ensuring correct cost, project/CC and P11D coding
  • Ad hoc tasks if required to support other members of the Accounting Department at month-end;

Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role (preferable in a Construction company);
  • Multi currencies experience;
  • Strong Excel;
  • SAP experience;
  • Analytical and willingness to learn;
  • Great written and oral communication skills;
  • Attention to details;
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team;
  • Ability to work efficiently to deadlines;
  • Quick learner

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be paid between £14-16 per hour and an annual salary up to £32,000, depending on experience.
