Description

The key responsibilities for this Tax Accountant (VAT) - Excellent FMCG Business based in Trowbridge are:

  • Take ownership for researching and responding to ad hoc VAT questions which come from a variety of sources such as VAT audits and other departments
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stake holders
  • Improve the VAT team's knowledge of the product flows and the businesses' appreciation of their VAT implications
  • Represent the VAT Team on other Business projects as required
  • Prepare VAT returns and accompanying workings
  • Review and challenge existing VAT processes and procedures

    When applying for this Tax Accountant (VAT) - Excellent FMCG Business based in Trowbridge the successfull candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge and practical experience of preparing VAT
  • Ability to work with systems
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel user, able to analyse data from different reports to confirm completeness and identify errors
  • Problem solver who enjoys working independently on varied ad hoc and technical questions
  • Capable of working autonomously when necessary, but also likes being part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge
