Our client is looking for a Business Manager to support their Wholesale Market Risk function.
The role is responsible for defining and implementing a consistent and effective approach to financial and control management for all Risk functional areas within WMR Europe. The scope of responsibilities of this role includes all aspects of business and risk management - Financial, Governance & MI, People, Internal Controls, Communications, Business Administration and Strategy as required.
Specific duties include:
· Communications - ensuring communications are supported for the Regional Head
· Event Management - ensuring set up appropriate events including conferences, exchanges etc.
· Continuous Improvement - driving positive change in processes, procedures, services etc. to deliver on financial, people or efficiency goals
· Financial Management - ensuring all financial targets are understood and actions can be taken as necessary and actuals vs AOP managed monthly including FTE
· Governance - demonstrating good governance and control across the Function
· Organisational Design - managing, developing and controlling the organisational design and implementation
· Policy & Standards - ensuring any COO/CAO Office-issued policies are well managed, communicated and implementation is tracked
· Stakeholder management - managing key relationships with Regional Head, COO and CAO
Required experience:
· Recent experience working within a Business Management role is essential
· Strong data analysis and reporting skills
· Proven financial management experience for a major global company
· Banking or financial services experience is highly beneficial
· Experience working in a Risk function would be an advantage
