Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Tax Director in managing a portfolio of clients and projects as well as managing subordinates.
- Review tax computation and tax submission
- Ensure all tax submissions are done in accordance with timeline.
- Resolve tax issues independently and timely.
- Perform high level review in ensuring all task are performed by staffs in accordance with instruction and timelines.
- Provide staff training on latest tax issues and to improve staffs' tax knowledge.
- Meet client to resolve complex tax issues which are technical in nature, when required.
- Assist with the corporate tax planning, tax audit and tax investigation.
- Conduct presentation on tax related issues when required.
- Communicate with tax staff on a regular basis to understand problem faced by them and develop solution to overcome the problem.
- Evaluate staff performance on monthly basis.
- Provide feedback or suggestions on ways to improve the work flow of tax department.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy / Commerce Accounting / Finance/ professional qualification (CTIM, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) or equivalent academic background.
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships at all levels.
- Good time management skills
- Willing to take challenge
- Ability to solve problem independently and timely
- Enthusiastic, reliable and use to working to deadlines
