Chief Accountant (Kingston)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Chief Accountant, the incumbent will report to the Finance Director. This position will be responsible for all accounting transactions and flows and manage all accounting controls. This includes but is not limited to:
* Maintain and create G/L postings and provide them to the Finance Director for approval.
* Manage the work flow processes of Receivables, Payables, Fixed Assets and Taxes, and Reconciliations
* Monitor the global consistency of accounts and analyze the working capital requirement report.
* Lead the preparation of monthly flash and final reports
* Assure that the quarterly consolidated reports for the Group financials are met respecting the deadlines to inform Head quarters
Qualifications and Experience
* First degree in Accounting at least, Masters degree will be an advantage.
* ACCA qualified
* Eight years' experience with alteast two years in a similar capacity.
* Work experience in the Accounting Department of a big corporation.
* Knowledge of local tax laws and authority regulatory requirements
* Strong leader with the ability to build collaboration widely across the organisation
* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
* Working knowledge SAP.
* Analytical and meticulous to details respecting process and results.
