Associate Director, Internal Audit
KPMG, which is one of Jamaica's largest full-service professional services firms, is seeking to hire a talented, highly motivated Associate Director for our growing Internal Audit practice.
The opportunity offers significant growth potential, career development and downstream opportunities for international mobility.
Reporting to the Partner, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing operational and compliance audits in accordance with KPMG's Internal Audit Methodology. This includes developing risk and control assessments, audit programs, testing controls, identifying process improvements, documenting findings and preparing Internal audit reports.
INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER PROFILE:
Overall, we are looking for an ambitious individual with a propensity for business development and willingness to work with the Firm's leadership team to strategically market and build the Internal Audit practice.
* Supporting attributes are:
o Qualified Chartered Accountant or an equivalent post graduate degree;
o At least five (5) years of post-qualification Internal Audit experience in a professional accounting firm or relevant
industry experience;
o Proactively participate in the identification of potential opportunities at practice level
o Position self as ambassador for the firm
o Proactively engage in cross-functional communication and sharing of information ;
o Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a multi cultural experience;
o Build a high performing team by investing in skill development through focused learning;
o Build team competence and ensure team utilization across projects for all team members at al times;
o Active involvement in staff recruitment, development and retention.
o Functions as a Performance Manager
o Effective mentorship of senior team members to build future leaders;
o Build co-operative relationships and fosters an environment in which everyone's opinion is valued;
o Excellent Project Management skills;
o Deep experience with internal audit methodologies and procedures;
o Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel; Power point and IDEA would be an advantage
