Qualifications/requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.Masters in Accounting or Finance from a recognized Institution will be an added advantage.

CPA-K or ACCA finalist.Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Hands-on experience with accounting software.

Experience:

At least five year's working experience as an accountant in a similar organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:-

Chief Accountant will be incharge of all Accounts and Finance functions by performing the following duties:-

Ensures that the company abides with the set of laws implemented by the state related to taxes and handing financial transactions.Monitoring financial position, financial performance and cash flows of the company; revising any discrepancies of reports. Checking the company's assets and liabilities that could affect its equity in the future.Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.Generate financial reports and statements to the top management for review.Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to the top management.Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overrunsWork consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiativesDevelop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.Issue project cost reports for review and approval.

Expected Salary:- Kshs.150,000 - 200,000 plus other benefits
