Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant to provide strategic support for the controller. This person must be positive and organized with the ability to effectively manage time, multiple tasks and priorities, all with attention to the details and a personable, supportive demeanor.In this position, the associate will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, recording of journal entries and monthly reconciliations. Primary Duties/Responsibilities:Prepare accounting entries to properly record business and financial transactions in the Company's financial systems.Reconcile monthly bank statements for multiple bank accountsSupport accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creationEnsure proper billing with the review of proposals and the issuance of credit memos which should be done a timely, regular basis.Reconcile credit card accounts for accuracy and in accordance with the project records.Prepare weekly disbursementsPartner with Project Managers to ensure all proposals are accurate and submitted to clients in a timely mannerAssist with the preparation of documentation for the external CPAAssist Project Managers and expediting team as neededPrepare reports as requested by Director of FinanceAd hoc special projects within the department1099 Management: obtain information from vendors, prepare schedule for 1099 generationJob Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance requiredStudio Webware software experience a plusAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong organizational and analytical skillsExcellent communication skillsProfessional demeanor and a positive attitudeProficient on MAC and in Microsoft Office Suite requiredSense of urgency, with ability to handle multiple projects and deadlinesAnalytical mindset and problem–solving abilitiesMust be focused and take the initiative to resolve issuesExperience forming and maintaining professional supplier relationships
