An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a property investment fintech firm in the heart of Central London as a German Accountant. That being said, the candidate will need to be able to speak FLUENT GERMAN. The key objectives of the role involve ownership of Client Portfolio Accounting (Germany) for 50+ residential properties and the bookkeeping for 3 entities (Luxembourg, Germany, UK), coordinating with the team in London and Germany.

Description

Responsibilities of the German Accountant:

Ensure all bills and invoices are paid and reconciled in a timely manner and recorded in our accounting software (Xero).
Manage bank accounts, ensuring sufficient liquidity and managing cash flow.
Liaise with tax consultants and external accountants in all three countries to prepare accounts.
Prepare monthly financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain and improve accounting controls by recommending policies and procedures, helping the business scale

Profile

Profile of the German Accountant:

Practical experience working with German entities in an accountancy function.

Working towards an accountancy qualifcation or qualified by experience (QBE). A German accountancy qualification would also be preferable but not a necessity.
Excellent spoken & written communication skills in German (fluent) and English (fluent).
You have experience creating the full suite of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow).
You are confident speaking to external advisors for guidance, as required.
You have excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
You are a self-starter with proactive attitude to meet commitments and undertake additional responsibilities that add value.

Job Offer

Looking to pay £40,000-£50,000 with an extensive benefits package.
