Financial Reporting Accountant

Role:
Very broad role which encompasses regulatory reporting, financial control, production of the ICAAP, quarterly Board reporting and support with 'one off' finance projects. Responsibilities include:

• lead all Finance activity for entry into new markets including support and leading the project for Finance
• Develop controls and oversight processes for all Corporate Controller Group activity
• Deputise for the Financial Reporting Manager with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Work with all areas of the business on the internal capital adequacy process (ICAAP)
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Implement process improvements to drive departmental efficiency and financial controllership.
• Review the accrual process for several European legal entities
• Support interim and year-end external audit of the Group
• Develop Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Prepare financial statements and interim regulatory reports for all European subsidiaries

Candidate profile:
Graduate qualified accountant ACA or ACCA or the international equivalent Ideally "Big 4" practice background with financial services audit experiences Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, internal controls and general ledger account analysis and Demonstrate initiative and ability to solve problems. Strong analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills.
