Permanent Finance Supervisor in St Andrews £27,000 - £28,000 depending on experience + 35 days AL

Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their client for a permanent Finance Supervisor. Salary £27,000 - £28,000 + 35 days annual leave & competitive pension
Your new role
You will assist the Senior Management Accountant in ensuring an efficient and accurate provision of financial support and advise to a variety of departments. You will provide operational support to various departments and attend meetings to advise on financial and commercial decision making. You will assist in budget preparation and budget monitoring and costing. You will have the responsibility for supporting a number of departments with regular monthly information, business case development and support for the costing and monitoring of budgets. You will supervise a small team of 2 finance assistants and manage their daily work load. You will prepare and input accruals, prepayments and journal entries where appropriate with relevant creation of supporting documentation. You will prepare monthly KPIs with explanations and suggestions for corrective action if appropriate. You will assist in the implementation of new systems and procedures and maintain the database, ensuring data integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven record of developing and implementing financial processes and procedures along with collating, summarising and reporting on large amounts of data from multiple sources. You will have experience communicating with non-financial people and meeting strict deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator with a commitment to continual improvement. You will ideally have supervisory experience although this is not essential it is highly desirable.
