My client is a large retailer with a leading online presence, based in Derbyshire

Description

This role proves the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their skills as a financial accountant in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will be tasked with:

• Be the main point of contact for external audit and tax Advisors
• Provide the expertise in reporting and drive process improvement
• Be fully accountable for key operational planning and management
• Produce the statutory accounts, manage balance sheet control
• Identification of key operational drivers and opportunities for improvement
• Work with the FD and key stakeholders to implement required changes for accounting and taxation with regard to international growth
• Liason with auditors

Profile

This Senior Financial Accountant position will suit an ambitious, forward thinking professional who strives to consistently work to a high standard, and able to deliver under pressure. To maximise success, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong ability to communicate at all levels, to finance and non-finance persons
• Excellent analytical, financial modelling and problem solving skills
• Strong knowledge and understanding of technical accounting issues - e.g. revenue recognition, capex
