Senior Financial Accountant - 12 FTC

The Role:

Our client is Tier 1 Senior Financial Accountant commercial accounting experience to join their high performing and collaborative finance team. Reporting into the Financial Controller and is responsible for a range of duties and will work closely with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

Key duties will include;

  • Preparation of monthly accounts consolidation and preparation of full-year statutory reporting
  • Assist in the budget preparation in conjunction with the Group Financial Controller
  • Support the external auditing and tax process
  • Monthly management reporting, develop reports, conduct regular reviews with Functional Managers
  • Manage special projects - process improvements and control
  • Accounting - Finance lease accounting
  • Complete monthly cash flow forecast and work with Global Treasury to ensure reasonable liquidity level is maintained
  • Prepare quarterly thin cap calculation and dividend proposal to Global tax and Global treasury to maintain optimal debt-equity level
  • Prepare yearly tax schedules and submit global year-end tax reports, prepare annual tax returns with assistance by external tax consultant
  • Prepare new reports for monitoring key spend areas eg. Capex, M&R, overtime
  • Be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the rolling forecast process and reports

Key Requirements:

  • CA/ CPA/ ACCA Qualified
  • Strong statutory accounts preparation, financial reporting and month end experience is essential.
  • Strong prioritization and excellent time management skills
  • Be a team player and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • A confident communicator with strong leadership skills
  • Good planning & organization skills and a willingness to be hands on
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • An understanding of Australian tax rules and regulations
