Deloitte's UK Financial Services External Audit Practice provides a full range of high value External Audit services to many of the world's leading financial institutions, including Banks, Brokers, Insurers, Investment Managers, Investment & Pension funds, Private Equity businesses and many more.


Our External Audit team is aligned to the various service lines and industry teams across Deloitte, and most of our UK Financial Services External Audit Management Team have held senior positions in the UK's leading Audit functions. This allows us to combine specialist Audit skills and capabilities with relevant in-depth industry knowledge and experience. Our team also has access to the full breadth of Deloitte's wider expertise in the UK and on a global basis.

Your role
We are looking to expand our team of focused, aspirational and collaborative practitioners, and as such we are offering the opportunity to join as a Senior Manager to support this challenging and rapidly expanding business. As a Senior Manager within the Audit and Assurance practice you will have responsibility for:

•Managing key audit relationships across a variety of industry sectors;
•Identifying and developing both audit and assurance opportunities with new and existing clients;
•Leading audit teams and developing managers and junior team members to reach their potential;
•Building relationships with other departments to deliver market and client focused business solutions;

Location:
Your home office will be London, but this client-facing role provides opportunity for travel in the UK.

Work pattern:
This is a permanent full time opportunity, with flexibility of home-working.

Your professional experience
To qualify for the role you must have:
•ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent);
•Thorough knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS;
•Strong understanding of financial reporting and controls;
•A track record in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior clients;
•Strong leadership skills both on engagements and in an office environment;
•An ability to play an active role in the business development process;
•An ability to implement solutions to address changes in regulatory requirements;
•The ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments;
•Significant presentation and business writing experience.
•Industry or international experience;
•Knowledge of US GAAP reporting;
•Experience of winning tenders and large audit proposals;
•Investment Management and Private Equity audit experience;
•Listed company audit experience.
