Mainactivities/responsibilities • ManageaccountingroutinesactivitiesforthePortTerminalbasedinSaseboJapan • Doublecheckthejournalentriespreparedbythe3rdpartyconsultantincludingAP,GLandFA,especiallyconstructionandCIPrelatedtotheportterminalproject; • Ensureaccurate&fairaccountingrecordsandmonthlyreportspreparedbythe3rdpartyconsultant; • Responsibleformonth-endclosingandworkwith3rdpartyconsultant,e.g.accrual,vendorpaymentcheck,CIP/FA,payroll; • Reviewthemonthlyreportingpreparedby3rdpartyconsultant; • ReviewB/Sreconciliationspreparedby3rdpartyconsultant; • AnalyzetheB/SandP/Lflux/variance; • AnalyzeCAPEXandOPEXflux/variance; • Workcloselywiththe3rdpartyconsultant,HQfinanceteam,Japanfinanceteamandportmanagementbusinessteamtoensureasmoothprocedureinplace; • Reviewandmonitorinter-companytransactionstominimizeaccountingandstatutoryreportingrisks; • Manageinternalcontrol&riskmanagementespeciallyintermsofconstructionproject; • Coordinatewiththeinternalauditandexternalaudit • ManagefixedassetinlegalentitiesAsiawise • ManageAsiaCAPEXduringthepreparationperiod,includingbutnotlimitedto,recordingthecostofnewlyacquiredfixedassets(bothtangibleandintangible),trackingexistingfixedassets,calculatingdepreciation,andaccountingforthedispositionoffixedassets; • Createandmonitorasystemofcontrols,procedures,andformsfortherecordingoffixedassetswithinAsia; • CollaboratewithFP&AteamandHQFAteamtoimprovetheFAmodulebasedonCarnivalaccountingstandardandprocedure; • Workcloselywithinternalandexternalauditoronfixedassetaudit • Supportad-hocprojectsDesiredSkills&Experience • FluentinbothoralandwrittenJapanese;AbilityofJapanesecontractreadingisrequired. • Atleast4-5yearsworkingexperienceintheaccountingfield,experienceinmulti-nationalcompanyormediumtolargescaleenterprisespreferred,withatleast2years'experienceinG/Lposition; • Goodcommandofeffectivecross-functioncommunication; • ExperiencewithOraclesystemwouldbeaplus; • Abilitytoworkindependentlyaswellasteamwork; • Advancedlevelinexcelskillwouldbepreferred; • Strongprojectmanagementexperienceandskill; • Bachelor'sdegreewithmajorinAccountingorFinance,goodknowledgeofChinaAccountingstandards,understandingIFRSandUS-GAAP; • Excellentunderstandingoffixedassetsgenerallyacceptedaccountingprinciplesandpractices; • FluentinbothoralandwrittenJapanese;AbilityofJapanesecontractreadingisrequired.
