JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with an ever-growing business in the Shipley area of Bradford who are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis in this newly created role.
Due to increased customer base and turnover, this role is working within an established and settled team of 9 in accounts. This role will give you full autonomy over the monthly p&l, reconciliations and management accounts in one of the five arms of the business. You will have confidence in your abilities and not be afraid of suggesting new ways of streamlining processes and procedures. As such, this is an exciting opportunity where you can really make this your own, with the reassurance of having the full support of the wider finance team.
Duties include:
This is a role working in a finance team of 10 where the group work together in harmony. It's testament to the company there being such a low turnover of staff; the team works together closely and support one another. You might be AAT qualified or indeed be qualified by experience, whichever is the case you'll be numerate, have excellent skills on Excel (to pivot and lookup level) and have a thorough understanding of management accounts. This is an exciting role working in lovely offices with free onsite parking. Salary will pay up to circa £25,000 depending on experience. Study support is not provided within this role. Duties include:
- Full preparation of monthly management accounts ensuring all transactions are fully accounted for, producing detailed reports for management
- Preparing of annual budgets and monthly re-forecasts
- Business partnering with other department heads within the business
- Responsibility for the site costing system and generating reports outlining margins
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist and liaise closely with auditors at year-end
- Generating client reports showing detailed billing charges and additional charges for management
- Dealing with several queries regarding payments and costs
- Ad-hoc duties within the team
