About us

With over 16,000 people worldwide, we make a huge investment in everyone, offering great career development opportunities. Our people are at the heart of everything we do and we offer a fast-paced environment where we have fun, celebrate success and give you all the tools you'll need to be your best self. It's not just our colleagues we look after - we've got a responsibility to our customers too and we work hard on our ambition that nobody is harmed by gambling.

Your Role Within the Team

As the Senior IT Audit Manager, you will be accountable to the Director of Internal Audit for the successful delivery of the IT components of the annual Internal Audit plan, across all business units.

Supported by an established, successful IT Audit team, you will provide robust and independent assurance throughout the Group-wide IT community - from core IT controls assurance, to risk-based audits and ad-hoc strategic assurance reviews and investigations. To ensure assurance delivery remains effective, your work will be informed by a deep understanding of IT and associated risks and issues.

Facing into the business, you'll be the key relationship holder with the Group IT function, in particular the IT Leadership Team reporting into the Group CIO. You will also play a pivotal role in translating complex IT issues to non-technical leaders, so they can understand the potential impact.

Skills Needed

You'll be an experienced IT Audit professional, with proven experience in tech-focused corporate organisations. CISA, CIA, CISM/CGEIT/CRISC/CISSP are desirable but not essential. You'll have proven your ability to manage the delivery of a diverse IT internal audit portfolio, leveraging your people and resource management skills to achieve the most effective outcome. Experience in managing third-party/consultant resources, to support the delivery of highly specialised risk-based reviews, would also be beneficial.

You'll be used to dealing directly with senior leaders, including directors. Your confidence and experience will help you to hold your own when discussing audit activity, issues and recommendations. Understanding the balance between audit requirements and commercial demands is essential, as is the ability to exercise good judgement and common sense. You're professional and self-reliant, able to manage your own workload and flex your style of communication when appropriate.

Some travel will be involved, helping you to build the best relationships with your stakeholders.

What we offer

We'll welcome you on-board with 25 days holiday (not to mention 8 bank holidays and an extra day for your birthday), a rewarding bonus scheme, healthcare (or a cash alternative), an attractive pension package, life assurance, healthy gym discounts and a flexible benefits scheme. Plus, our season ticket loan and handy Metro Card loan will save you money getting to work and getting around town. And if you see the journey to work as part of your fitness regime, you'll just love our Cycle to Work scheme.

William Hill in Leeds

Right in the middle of the creative heart of the UK sit both of our Leeds offices. Leeds itself is a buzzy, busy place to work and live. A hub for tech, digital and gaming companies - there's also five universities right on our doorstep. And away from work, we're in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and of course have got a competitive sports scene with Leeds United and Yorkshire Cricket and Rugby just up the road in Headingly.
