Accounts Assistant Blackburn Immediate Start

The Accounts Assistant role is a temporary opportunity which could go permanent.
You will have the opportunity to assist in all areas within the accounts function, including sales & purchase ledgers, weekly wages, cash books and administration.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Processing of receipts, invoices, credits and adjustments as required onto the accounts system, ensuring accuracy of data entry.
Credit Control and issuance of statements, copy invoices, POD's and where necessary 7 day letters / legal notices for debt recovery.
Processing of invoices, reconciliation of GRN's, PO's to ensure purchase invoices agree. Lodging of invoices onto accounts system, ensuring accuracy of data entry.
Querying purchase invoices as required. GRN analysis and Supplier statement reconciliations
HR / Wages
Using blank Contracts, prepare new starters details & compliance forms. Assist with HR, drafting letters & attending disciplinary interviews (note taking).
Sage Payroll : Assist with and/or prepare the weekly wages to submission for payment as required.
Entry of Receipts & Payments .
Preparation of spreadsheets and adhoc duties as required.
Covering Reception & despatch paperwork as morning & holiday cover
