This a Finance Manager role with a bespoke property SME. This is a broad role with great scope for progression within the City of London office.

Client Details

The Client

Our client is a property & construction SME that has quickly grown into a front runner in their field, growing by primarily organic means. They provide bespoke designs, fit outs and refurbishment and have developed a sought out brand that is well known within the London market.

They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their City of London finance function in an all-rounder role that will play a key part in strategic decision making within the business. Being an SME business, Finance is a streamline function currently however this role would be responsible for building this up and growing a team around them.

Description

The Role

The Finance Manager role will report into the Directors and will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Day to day ownership of the finance function: overseeing the production of the monthly and annual reporting for the group. Including oversight of VAT and tax requirements.
  • Commercial/Strategy: budgeting, forecasting, analysis and commentary from monthly reporting. Management of KPI dashboard. Presenting to Directors as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Process/Systems Improvements: ongoing proactive analysis of current systems and processes, implementing changes where needed to support continued growth and expansion.
  • Team Management: responsible for upskilling, workflow control and management of 1 junior.

    What's Needed

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (Industry Exposure Essential if Practice Trained)
  • Management Accounts experience essential
  • Proactive, great attention to detail and comfortable in a hands on, all-rounder role
  • Proven background in process improvements and strategic planning
  • SME background highly desirable
  • Able to commute to City of London
