Our client is one of the largest Energy/Renewables/Utilities businesses in the world. With a huge global presence, and continuing to post growth, our client is frontrunner in their field who as a progressive business is also one of the leading providers of renewable energy within the UK.

They are looking to bring in a Senior Technical Accountant into their Technical Advisory team, based in their London Of. This will sit in a direct team of 5 however will have broad exposure across the wider finance function. It will be an advisory position and you will be working closely with finance teams across the business, with a key focus on IFRS9 and IFRS16 advisory.

Description

The Role

Reporting into the Technical Accounting Manager this Senior Technical Accountant role will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Advisory - provide technical advisory on the implementation of IFRS9/IFRS16 and ongoing accounting impacts
  • Statutory Accounts - review the overall statutory accounts process for 1-2 entities + advise on IFRS9 impact for individual statutory accounts across the business
  • Business Partner - provide ongoing technical accounting advisory + ad hoc projects and advisory where required
  • IFRS9 controls and improvements - identify and deliver IFRS9 process improvements, including hedge accounting and modelling

    What's Needed

  • ACA Qualified (or Equivalent)
  • Great working knowledge of IFRS (IFRS9 essential)
  • Technical Accounting and Technical Advisory experience highly desirable
  • High Excel proficiency
  • Able to commute to Central London
