Assistant Accountant

A motivated Assistant Accountant is needed to join an award winning FMGC business in Preston. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Management Accountant, preparing the accounts for month and year end.

Description

Assistant Accountant duties include:

- Preparation of draft company flash results

- Cashflow forecasts

- Preparation of periodic management accounts

- Journals and balance sheet accruals

- Transfer journals

- Variance analysis

- Process month end procedures

- Balance sheet reconciliations

- VAT returns and ad hoc duties as required

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant will be/ have:

- Immediately available - Essential
- Knowledge of working in a similar role previously - Essential
- Confident with nominal codes and balance sheets - Essential
- proactive
