Senior Technical Accountant

My well known FTSE 250 client based in Central London, is looking to bring in a Technical Accountant to the Accounting team whilst they look for somebody to join the position on a permanent basis.

Description

As a Senior Technical Accountant you will be responsible for the correct application and process of IFRS 9. You will also be the main point of contact for all other technical accounting topics which may be requested from the wider business. It would be your responsibility to ensure all accounting policies are correct and appropriate as well as being in compliance with relevant IFRS and group policies. Within this role you would also be expected to implement IFRS 9 in the statutory accounting process. The successful applicant will need to successfully and efficiently deliver a handover to the newly appointed permanent employee.

Profile

The successful candidate must be fully Qualified with extensive experience of technical accounting and of IFRS derivatives. You will also need to be immediately available, in order to start the role straight away. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of both the commercial and financial reporting implications of accounting under IFRS 9.
