Our client is a leading Retail/Fashion company located in London's West End. Due to growth across their UK and International product base, an opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant - AAT to join their accountancy team.
Description
Located in London's West End, our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant - AAT with responsibility for the following duties;
- To post purchase invoices (using macros) via purchase order system by matching purchase order numbers/Good receipt Notes and deal with discrepancies if any by communicating with relevant departments.
- Purchase invoices with no PO's to be checked for authentication and posted manually. It is essential to liaise and communicate with relevant departments for accuracy and authorisation.
- Maintain the accrual and commitment ledger via the purchase order system(using macros)
- Prepare monthly bacs/multi-currency(USD/EUR/YEN) payment run.(twice a month)
- Occasional ad hoc payments
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure suppliers accounts are kept up to date.
- Comply with internal control J-SOX requirements.
- Purchase order system assistance to users.
- To prepare manual accruals analysis for finance manager for month-end closing.
- Prepare monthly Aged creditors listing.
- Prepare and post relevant month end journals ie forex/intercompany etc.
- Distribute monthly credit card and travel advance statements to card/advance holders
- Ensure card/advance holders submit expense forms in time for month end accounts preparation
- Post returned expense forms to the general ledger
- Reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare Quarter and Year-end analysis for audits.
- Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
- To provide assistance and cover for accounts receivable when required.
Profile
The ideal candidate:
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS ACCOUNTS PAYABLE EXPERIENCE
MUST BE STUDYING FOR, OR QUALIFIED, AAT
