Finance Manager

The role of Finance Manager is to support the Financial Controller with the day-to-day running of the finance function. You will be responsible for managing a small team of accounts assistants. This is a varied and challenging role, ideal for someone who works well under pressure and has a drive for success.

My client is a well-known business within the Grimsby area, they have recently acquired a new manufacturing business and as such are going through a period of substantial growth. At a pivotal point within the company's history, they are keen to invest in a strong and competent finance team that can help drive success.

Description

The successful candidate for the role of Finance Manager would be responsible for the following;

• Supporting and deputising for the Financial Controller when necessary

• Production and reporting of the monthly management accounts

• Weekly, monthly and annual forecasts

• Managing the members of the finance team

• Bank and Balance sheet reconciliations

• Maintenance of the fixed asset register

• VAT returns

• Maintenance of stock levels

Profile

The successful candidate should possess the following;

• An ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualification or QBE

• Experience within a fast paced manufacturing industry

• Knowledge of Sage preferred but not essential

• Advanced Excel user

• Can be flexible around busier periods

• An ability to perform well under pressure and work to tight deadlines

• A level of experience with managing people
