Assitant Financial Accountant

An Assistant Financial Accountant Role has become available for a global media company based in Central London. This individual will be responsible for specific areas of reporting as well as managing the monthly reporting for specific Business Units.

A global media company based in Central London is recruiting an Assistant Financial Accountant. This is a vital role within the General Ledger Department, reporting into the Financial Services Manager. This individual will report to the Financial Services Manager and will lead on the completion of the day-to-day activities of the General Ledger cycle.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant:
· Responsible for company reporting
· Managing the monthly reporting for specific Business Units, including assisting with any queries raised and validating approvals
· Managing the monthly cash positions
· Running the monthly mass reversals at APT re-class transactions in SAP
· Managing the posting of DPS batches (when required)
· Managing the posting of monthly and quarterly loan interest
· Assisting the General Ledger team in the preparation of documentation for monthly and quarterly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
· Ensuring efficiency of process and proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and commercial enhancement.

Key Requirements of the Assistant Financial Accountant:
· Part qualified CIMA/ACCA
· Understanding of Financial Reporting and analysis
· Good working knowledge/advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
· Strong systems skills - confident to learn new systems and new functionality within windows programs
· Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous
