This entry level role is an exciting role to build a great foundation in the food industry. As an integral part of our business, you will gradually take on more extensive responsibilities and become involved in matters of strategic importance. There is a clear roadmap for role progression aligned to completion of accounting exams which will give you exposure to a variety of finance disciplines. Following the 6 months as a production analyst, subsequent roles, on a 9 – 12 month rotation cycle, will include:
Key responsibilities
- Production Analyst
- Build understanding of a production plant, and report on a number of performance measures weekly
- Learn about SAP functionality, structure, and design in relation to material master data and production orders
- Be responsible for driving accuracy of data entry
- Through a continuous improvement framework identify and prioritise improvement opportunities
- Commercial Finance support
- Analysing and reporting on revenue and margin performance
- Preparing forecast models for revenue and inventory by business segment
- Analysing price/volume trends and outlooks to recommend actions that lead to profitable growth
- Accounting & Compliance
- Reviewing costs and preparing journals and accruals
- Managing the capital expenditure reporting process
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support for business leadership through performance management. Understands business trends and monitors financial performance against benchmarks and key performance indicators.
- Develop, prepare and present, mid-year and annual budget projections.
Qualifications and skills
First and foremost we look for hardworking, analytical and ambitious individuals who want to be pushed outside of their comfort zone.
- Ideally a Minimum 2:1 degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related discipline
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Motivated self-starter with the determination and drive to succeed
- Strong ability to work well in a team and on your own
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
