Our Client based in Halifax are part of a very successful manufacturing group. They are experiencing an exciting period of change across a number of areas as the company continues to grow. They have an immediate opportunity for an experienced management or project accountant with end user SAP experience to provide additional capacity around a significant IT project across a number of their subsidiary's, The role is open to Part qualified, Qualified or Qualified by experience individuals.
The main focus of this role is to support the Finance team with financial and management accounting activities and working closely with the Financial Controller will form part of the project team responsible for SAP implementation
Key Responsibilities will include:
*Management accounts preparation including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Assist with consolidated accounts and reports.
*Prepare VAT returns and other HMRC submissions.
*Prepare information for tax management and reporting.
*Assist with audit and statutory account preparation.
*Support Project Team for SAP implementation
*Involvement in the system design process.
*System stress testing
*Data migration
*Roll out and training support
The successful candidate will demonstrate good SAP end user working knowledge, previous involvement in systems implementations would be advantageous but not essential. You will also demonstrate:
*Strong IT and Excel skills (to Pivot Table and VLOOKUPs standard)
*Good technical accounting experience
*Excellent communication skills.
*Ability to use initiative and manage own workload within required timescales.
*A positive and flexible approach
