A excellent opportunity for a part-qualified Management Accountant to join a cutting edge business, based from Yaxley, who are seeing excellent growth in the engineering sector. As Management Accountant your role will be filled with variety as you will be assisting with the full month end processes, alongside producing detailed analysis and commentaries to the Finance Director to inform the ongoing and future business decisions.

Description

The Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Responsibility over the complete month end processes, including the production of detailed management accounts to be presented to the senior finance team
  • Producing detailed variance analysis with corresponding commentary to inform business decisions
  • Rolling cash flow forecasting alongside detailed reports and commentary
  • Assisting in the development of the junior members of the team
  • Ownership of the transactional processes including payroll and credit control duties
  • Assisting with the improvement and development of internal processes and existing systems
  • Acting as a business partner to the commercial teams, providing financial support
  • Assisting with the statutory reporting with calculation of VAT and Intrastat Returns

Profile

The successful candidate for the Management Accountant will:

  • Demonstrate a strong background in a similar role
  • CIMA or ACCA part-qualified
  • Have strong system experience (Sage 200 is advantageous) and Excel; V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
  • Confident in building and maintaining key relationships within the business
  • Effective time management and ability to deliver precise and accurate work
  • Strong financial planning experience would be advantageous
