Financial Controller

My client are a medium sized company who are within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector who are based in Watford. They are looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis to report into their Finance Director and ensure the smooth running of the Finance function.

Salary is from £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience. You will ideally be a Part Qualified/Finalist/QBE level candidate who has a background in a similar role.

Description

• Reporting into a hands on Finance Director
• Managing a team of 7 in Finance
• To produce accurate and timely monthly, and year-end financial information including group and divisional performance
• Manage the annual audit and the working relationship with the auditorsTo maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance team at all times
• To monitor Credit Control and ensure targets are met
• Develop, mentor (and recruit wherever appropriate) the finance team including working with each direct report to establish goals and objectives twice a year to enhance the professional development of staff
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process

Profile

• Living local to Watford
• Ideally a Part Qualified or Finalist or QBE level candidate
• A background in a similar role at a Financial Controller/Finance Team Leader is essential
• A natural leader
• Strong Excel user
• Self-motivated, personally resilient and disciplined
• Thrives on a challenge, possesses excellent team working, verbal and communication skills.
