SAP Finalist Finance Analyst (Maternity Cover)

This SAP Finalist Finance Analyst (Maternity Cover) is an exciting opportunity to work for a global retail company based in the City of London. They position is looking for someone who has used SAP and has experience 50% finance analyst experience and 50% Accountancy experience.

Description

This role SAP Finalist Finance Analyst (Maternity Cover) involves:

• Act as the primary point of contact for the HQ Cost centres throughout the month: Design & Creative Departments, Product Research & Development, HR, IT, Office Services, etc to ensure that all invoices are coded correctly and the Finance related queries are dealt with on a timely basis

• Financial Planning, including the quarterly Budget and Latest Estimates

• Co-ordinate the Global Advertising Budget process by working closely with the Brand's Global Communication team and Events team

• Review all Cost centres to ensure spending is in line with forecast, investigate the variances and prepare monthly management reporting packs & commentaries

• Attend regular meetings with Department Heads to discuss significant variances to budget and identify relevant changes ahead of the Budget review process

• Excellent understanding of Accounting rules in order to prepare monthly journals: accruals, prepayments, travel, rent and other adjustments

• Manage the HQ Fixed Assets reporting

• Manual Intercompany recharges

• Work closely with their wider Group finance to ensure accuracy of Budget & Management reporting

• Work with the EMEA team & Shared Services centres as and when required

• Assist the auditors during the year end

Profile

The successful SAP Finalist Finance Analyst (Maternity Cover) candidate will:

-

• Experience in a Finance environment - Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet

• Experience of Budgeting and Forecasting

• Experience preparing financial and management reports to strict deadlines

• Proven experience of working and communicating effectively with Finance and Non-finance colleagues

Working within industry

Intermediate/Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word

• Good understanding of accounting basics and reconciliations

• Knowledge of SAP

• Budgeting, Month-end reporting for Accruals and Good understanding of Financial Reporting rules
