Great opportunity to join Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services Group's Legal team, focusing on providing advice in relation to leasing and asset finance products and transactions in Australia.
You will be reviewing, negotiating, documenting and settling transaction documents. Collaborating with colleagues in the Sales, Tax, Operational Risk, Compliance and Credit teams, as well as external law firms and other advisors, you will secure legal approval of transactions, ensuring compliance with group policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated lawyer seeking to work directly within a business in an advisory and structuring capacity.
You will have approximately 5-7 years' post admission experience in a major law firm or in-house. Experience in banking and financial services, and familiarity with commercial transactions and regulatory consumer law will be highly regarded.
You will also have great organisational and communication skills, the ability, initiative, and confidence to work independently and the ability to adapt concepts and take a pragmatic, commercial approach.
