This is an excellent career opportunity for a highly experienced audit professional to strongly contribute to the direction of the Macquarie audit team and confirm the quality of the work executed.

As the Head Methodology & Quality Assurance, you will update the internal audit methodology, design the internal quality assurance program and perform hands on quality assurance reviews. These activities will be undertaken with a strong risk focused lens. You will have the opportunity to develop and coach the internal audit team on methodology changes and on the key development areas identified from the quality assurance reviews; working towards continuous improvement and shared success.

As a Senior Manager / Associate Director within the team you will demonstrably and consistently contribute to the Internal Audit Division workplace environment confirming that all staff feel valued, challenged, and encouraged to contribute and embrace continuous improvement.

You will bring with you a strong background as a highly experienced, risk-focused audit professional with a financial services background. Your prior hands-on experience will confirm the audit methodology provides clear, practical, risk-focused guidance; avoiding bureaucratic non-value adding theory. Similarly, the quality assurance program will be focused on the key aspects of audit execution with an objective for continuous improvement.

Your excellent communication skills will be essential to success in this role, which include the ability to explain execution requirements, with the underlying risk-based rationale, and influence where required, whilst also maintaining a strong sense of empathy and ability to engage with all staff members across the audit team.

The ability to work as part of the Professional Practices team as well as an individual will be important to the success of this role. Prior methodology and quality assurance experience will be beneficial but not essential.
