Description of business unit
The SB&A Debt Recovery team undertakes arrears collection and recovery activities for the Group's Small Business & Agri (SB&A) portfolios with Total Group Exposures of up to €500k.
Purpose of the Role
To resolve and rehabilitate non performing small business loan exposures in a customer centric manner.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage a portfolio of non performing business accounts through proactive and direct customer contact, with a view to managing them back to performing status
- Draft and present Credit papers to the relevant Credit discretion holder, to include a full financial and strategy assessment of a customer's position
- Formulate and implement recovery strategies, with a view to minimising risk and maximising return for the Bank
- Ensure compliance with SME and CPC regulations by way of appropriate correspondence and customer calls
- Act as an experienced point of contact and support for junior staff colleagues
- Actively support Team Leaders / Management to ensure the Units objectives are achieved

Essential Qualifications
- APA Loans
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong financial / credit analysis skills
- 3 years' experience in a Business Banking / Recovery environment
- 3 years' experience of Credit report writing
- Understanding of Debt Recovery strategy options and experience of implementing same
- Ability to deliver a customer message in an appropriate manner
