I am pleased to be working with a well-established, growing and expanding Property Management firm based in Central London.

They have an exciting opportunity with a clear path of progression to work across a large Commercial portfolio, reporting to a Team Leader and Associate Director you will initially assist a team of Client Accountants with:

I have worked with this client for many years and know they offer internal progression.

There is scope for this role to move to a Client Accountant with responsibility of your own portfolio within months if you show the right attitude. Beyond that they can accommodate a path to Team Leader.

You might be working as an Assistant Client Accountant and need that next step forward, or if you have gained some experience of transactional accounting in either Practise or Industry and are interested in Client Accounting I would welcome your application.

Duties include:

Periodic reporting to clients (Standard reports plus additional as required)

Ensure accurate reconciliation of client reports including statements and VAT

Instruct Central Finance department of the following:
Demand Rent, Service charge and other monies from Tenants
Collection of monies
Transfer of Rent monies to client
Amendments to Client Accounts
Payment of client property related transactions
General maintenance of client funds Update the annual service charge budgets in accordance with internal KPIs

Manage and maintain the Service charge funds of each property under remit

Manage and maintain the property and tenant (lease) database for all clients under remit

Manage housekeeping of Lease data and financial data on databases.

Ensure that cash-flow/funding for each property service charge is adequate

To ensure completion of Service Charges within latest RICS Professional Statement.

Deal appropriately with any property transfers as per internal guidelines.

Understand and clear outstanding items as identified on the annual Balance-sheet.

Carry out frequent housekeeping and cleansing of all cash balances held.

Monitor cash handling income in accordance with compliance team’s instruction

Ensure full understanding of all current, updated and newly created Internal Procedures that relate to the accounts function

Ad-hoc tasks/projects instructed by Client Accounts Manager and Head of Property Finance UK.

Training and support will be given, you must have a proactive, adaptable and hardworking approach to work, this role will need someone confident with strong verbal and written communication skills who wants to learn and gain responsibility quickly.
