Accountant
We are recruiting for a small accountancy practice in Woodbridge looking for a new staff member to join their team of nine. The ideal candidate will have experience working within an Accountancy Practice and have good knowledge of small limited companies, personal tax clients and be aware of current legislation. The practice like to offer the personal touch, so would suit a friendly, welcoming Accountant, seeking a good work V life balance.
They are a forward thinking, dynamic company which has been established for over 25 years. They are looking for a self-motivated team player willing to adapt to the ever changing accountancy world and be able to communicate this effectively to clients.
Ideally they are looking for a full time member of staff, however will consider Part time hours / School hours or flexible working for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be Part qualified in ACCA, ICAS or ICAEW, or Qualified and looking for a different pace of environment and setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked in practice to join a small, proficient team of accountants and develop their knowledge within a supportive environment.
Essential skills
• Accounts preparation to partner review level
• Preparation of tax returns to partner review level
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Knowledge of Excel and basic word skills
• Cloud based software preferably Xero
Desirable skills
• Use of Iris Accounts Production
• Use of Iris Personal Tax
• Liaising with HMRC
• Completion and submission of confirmation statements and other Companies House forms
• Basic payroll experience (Desirable not essential)
