Reed Finance are pleased to be partnered with an accountancy practice in Sussex who are expanding and therefore seeking an Assistant Manager to join their firm.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities
  • Review bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns
  • Review year end packs for accounts and audit team
  • Assist with ensuring that deadlines and time budgets are met
  • Advise manager of any issues, where appropriate suggesting remedy
  • Complete and review VAT compliance including registration, de-registration, option to tax, VAT enquiries and investigation
  • Liaise with other departments such as Payroll, accounts, audit and tax
  • Travel to and work from client sites and London office
  • Develop and maintain good client relations
  • Liaise with clients directly to resolve queries or obtain further information
  • Ensure a high level of service to meet clients’ expectations
  • Ensure that all hours worked on assignments are correctly recorded
  • Train and support both team members and clients
  • Work alongside the Director, looking at new technologies and systems to enhance efficiencies

In order to be considered for this position you will need to be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. Qualified by experience professionals may also be considered. Previous bookkeeping and accountancy experience within a practice is essential
