Group Regulatory Reporting Manager - 12-Month Contract

An excellent opportunity exists for someone with a strong background supporting process and system-based projects to join Macquarie's Financial Management Group focusing on the implementation of the regulatory reporting policy. The successful candidate would ideally have experience within large financial institutions with a background in Regulatory Reporting, have demonstrated experience in interpreting and developing data and technical business requirements and be confident managing change across functional teams through project and change delivery.

The Group Regulatory Reporting team is part of the Financial Management Group and is responsible for a broad range of Macquarie wide external and internal reporting requirements. Group Regulatory Reporting has exposure to all aspects of the Macquarie Group's activities with a focus predominately on balance sheet, capital and liquidity reporting. The team has regular interactions with Macquarie staff across the Group including other Finance teams, the Risk Management Group, the Corporate Operations Group and Macquarie business units.

Key responsibilities include being a business subject matter expert to gather requirements and business context and work closely with regulatory reporting subject matter experts and the data team to document governance structure and the key controls of the end-to-end reporting processes. You will perform analytical reviews of systems and counterparties involved in the reporting process and develop templates and processes to assist regulatory reporting experts in fulfilling the new policy requirements. You will assist with training materials, delivering new tools to assist report owners with the new policy requirements and provide accurate and timely updates to stakeholders will be key elements in this role.

Your technical skills and qualifications will include a tertiary degree in Business/Commerce, a CA or CPA qualification, 5+ years' post-qualification experience, and experience in the financial services/investment banking industry. You will have had exposure with data used for regulatory reporting, developing data, technical business requirements and be confident managing change across functional teams. Previous exposure to internal/external audits and projects is advantageous.
