Description

The key responsibilities for this Senior Tax Manager - Deputise for the Finance Director, role are:

  • Act as primary contact with tax country authority
  • Provide governance over tax registrations, oversee/manage contentious issues and enquiries.
  • Manage compliance obligations and opportunities relating to new statutory/tax regimes and legislation
  • Provide governance and oversight over tax compliance across all tax regimes
  • Provide competent tax expertise/opinion for complex and non-routine events
  • Act as country subject matter expert for tax & accounting, for significant business events and for company restructuring events, including integration's, disposals and dissolutions
  • Exercise oversight and provide assurance to Controller/Senior Accounting Officer as to the integrity of external regulatory reporting
  • Provide expert direction and guidance for non-routine & complex accounting matters and for projects
  • Lead and participate in corporate and business projects on behalf of the function and the legal entity
  • Represent the legal entity/country in corporate teams and in partnering with the business

  • Manage UK entities company secretarial obligations

Profile

Successful candidates for this Senior Tax Manager - Deputise for the Finance Director, will be/have:

  • Competent knowledge broadly across tax, accounting standards and regulatory reporting
  • More detailed knowledge of corporate tax, VAT and generalist knowledge across payroll tax regimes
  • A proven technical record with increasing responsibility
  • Experience of working in a large, international company environment and throughout corporate hierarchy
  • Experience in liaising for a large business with the UK tax authorities
  • Sound financial accounting experience. Prior audit experience would be advantageous
  • Project management Experience
