Head Of Finance

Anderson Knight are recruiting for a Head of Finance to join an established organisation based in the Glasgow area. The main purpose of the role is to effectively manage a finance team as well as providing strategic direction in the management of the research, finance and support management process. This position sits in a highly important division within the organisation and you will be responsible for providing financial support to the wider group. Our client has recently secured a large investment so it is an incredibly exciting time across the finance function. The main responsibilities the Head of Finance position entails are: Overall responsibility for the Research Management process, ensuring effective interaction and relationships across the wider group To provide strategic management of the Research, Finance and Support Management process, ensuring continuous improvement and implementation of best practice To co-ordinate and oversee the provision of reliable and timeous management information on research grants and contracts To take ownership of and review and update relevant policies for research management Responsible for the management of the risk associated with research and other contracts The ideal candidate will possess the following: Fully Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to meet tight financial deadlines Excellent problem solving skills Sound knowledge of excel including pivot tables This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation which offers a very competitive package including great holidays and pension.
