As a team member of international asset accounting team (based in Brno and also in Bratislava) you are going to process the asset accounting for our internal clients within Deutsche Telekom Group. You have a chance to develop further your accounting expertise in the financial center of excellence which offers variety of opportunities in your accounting career. You can take part on interesting transition, digitalization and automatization projects within our international group and use both English and Polish in your daily job.

Which challenges are expecting you:

  • Record fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers and master record changes in the accounting system (tangible and intangible)
  • Assign investment-profile (capex/opex), accounts/asset classes and cost centers to projects and shopping carts
  • Create master records for assets under construction and assets in use
  • Track the compilation of project costs (assets under construction) into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the  related projects have been completed
  • Perform controls for the internal control system to ensure compliance and correctness of the asset ledger
  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset sub-ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger
  • Calculate asset retirement obligations (aros) for those fixed assets to which aros are applicable
  • Evaluate and record leasing contracts
  • Align with the process partners in the customer companies in regards of process problems or changes, especially finance, controlling, technology, it
  • Conduct analysis related to fixed assets as requested by management
  • Recommend to management improvements of the processes related to fixed assets for quality and efficiency reasons
  • Represent the company during any audits that involve fixed assets

Your skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or diploma in Business Administration (Accounting as a major field of study)
  • Solid IFRS and Polish GAAP know-how
  • Fluent English and Polish
  • 5+ years of experience and /or knowledge of double entry accounting, ideally from big international company
  • Advanced level of knowledge in MS Office (mainly Excel, Word), SAP- FI know-how is beneficial
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and self-organized personality
  • Customer friendly communication skills and problem solving skills
  • Team player approach and enthusiasm for international environment and occasional travelling within Europe
