Assistant Management Accountant

This Assistant Management Accountant role, based in Fleet for a leading IT business, is to understand, process and drive financial accounting processes relating to both client accounting and central accounting.

My client is a leading IT business based in Fleet who are experiencing a significant period of growth at the moment and are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team.

Description

Assistant Management Accountant Responsibilities:

• Performing bank reconciliations on a daily/weekly basis
• Performing monthly reconciliations
• Assisting with the monthly management accounts
• Company balance sheet reconciliations, including prepayments & accruals
• Purchase ledger statement reconciliations
• Bank payments
• VAT returns
• Assisting with processing of employee expense claims
• Assistance with payroll and pensions
• Assisting with preparation of year end audit files
• Assisting with finance system upgrade project

Profile

The successful assistant Management Accountant:

• Ideally you would be AAT qualified and studying ACCA/CIMA
• Preferably you will have all-round finance experience; multi-site experience would be beneficial
• Experienced with using systems and a good knowledge of excel
• Keen to further develop your accounting knowledge within a growing business
• You will be a cheerful, enthusiastic, passionate team player who can also work individually
• During busy times such as month-end you will be able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
• You will possess excellent communication skills, being comfortable dealing with a wide range of people including clients, site teams, colleagues and suppliers
• You will have strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise your workload
