Debt Advisory - What do we do?

We provide independent advice to borrowers across the full spectrum of debt markets. We assist with refinancing requirements associated with maturing debt facilities and amendment exercises to assist our clients to obtain covenant or facility flexibility. We also assist borrowers to obtain new debt funding facilities to support their business through growth and expansion such as capex facilities and accessing new debt markets. We also assist clients to obtain facilities to fund acquisitions and staple debt packages to accompany any sale processes.

What will your typical day look like?

You will assist clients in solving complex business and transaction issues and to help achieve their funding objectives. This will see you provide advice related to optimal capital structures, refinancing and the restructuring of existing debt facilities.

More specifically, you can expect to:

  • Undertake company, economic, industry, capital markets and competitor research for deal origination and transaction analysis.
  • Employ various valuation methodologies and build/analyse financial models (e.g. business forecasts, evaluating scenarios and covenant calculations).
  • Assist with day to day management of transaction processes, including the preparation of information packs, management presentations and other marketing collateral.
  • Maintain regular interaction with clients, banks/alternative lenders, advisors, etc.
  • Build a broad perspective of debt market trends.

This is a client facing role and therefore you will have the chance to also build your communication and client management skills as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team and help shape its culture for the future.
